    COVID-19 updates

    Press 18 May
HERE IS WHERE WE WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED OF ANY UPDATES RELATING TO COVID-19

Did you know that kegs are a great choice for the storage, transportation and dispensing of alcoholic hand sanitizer in bulk? A single standard keg of 30l can store the equivalent of 150 bottles, rendering it the ideal for applications within hospitals, supermarkets and care home facilities, where large quantities are required. Furthermore, stainless steel delivers unrivalled levels of hygiene whilst also safeguarding the integrity of the goods it contains.

A brewery in Arizona, O.H.S.O. Brewery and Distillery, has teamed up with Banner Health to donate hundreds of gallons of hand sanitizer to local hospitals in a bid to combat the spread of Covid-19. This versatile distillery based in north Scottsdale now exclusively focuses on producing hand sanitizer which is loaded into kegs and distributed to hospitals in the Phoenix metro vicinity.

On 29th March 2020, the Spanish Government approved Royal Decree Law 10/2020 to reduce the mobility of the population and ensure that the efforts already being made to combat COVID-19 can have the maximum possible impact.

This legislative measure entails the automatic suspension of activity of all companies that are not deemed as essential, and its application is from 30th March to 9th April inclusively.

This regulation does not apply to public or private entities, or companies that provide services in sectors classified as essential, with certain exceptions.

Currently, the German government has not taken any action at this given time, and as for Mexico, currently different options are being discussed by Mexican authorities.

As Covid-19 spreads across the world, it is difficult to determine what the long term effects will be, whilst the outcome cannot as yet be judged, we can decide how we react to the global crisis as business.

For several weeks now we have been closely assessing the situation both internally and externally to ensure the health, safety and well-being of our employees, suppliers and all our customers.

Based on this assessment we have drawn up the following guidelines:

    • Keep our employees, suppliers and customers safe and healthy. To achieve this, we have implemented several preventative measures including social distancing, encouraging employees to work from home where possible, disinfecting our sites, the provision of personal protective equipment, as and the formulation of contingency plans which can be triggered in the event of a suspected infection. These measures not only meet the regulations as set out by the authorities but go above and beyond.
    • Continue to serve our customers with the highest possible standards, with the least possible disruption. We are committed to deliver the same usual excellent THIELMANN service to our customers and we endeavour to support you throughout this challenging time with as little disruption as possible.
