Abrera, September 3, 2025 - Following the recent acquisition of THIELMANN PORTINOX by Irestal Group, the Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Alberto Borque as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company based in Granada, Spain.
Alberto Borque has been with the organization since joining in 2013, where he has held various positions of responsibility in the areas of operations and business development. At the time of the acquisition, he held the positions of Director of Operations for the THIELMANN Group and Managing Director of THIELMANN PORTINOX SPAIN, where he has successfully led important transformation, expansion, and operational improvement processes.

THIELMANN PORTINOX, one of the world leaders in the design and manufacture of stainless steel containers, offers a wide range of products from its factory in Granada, which it distributes throughout the rest of the world. This variety includes beverage kegs, standardized pressure vessels, drums for storing hazardous substances, or bulk products (IBCs), among others. THIELMANN PORTINOX has more than 60 years of experience serving the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, among others.
The company, which completes its industrial offer with service centers in the United Kingdom and the United States, is also a referent in the manufacture of stainless steel sanitary ware, marketed under the PORTINOX brand.
Irestal Group, owned by the Boixareu family, was founded in 1945 and pioneered the introduction of stainless steel to the Spanish market. Its activity is currently divided into two main areas: the processing and distribution of a wide range of stainless steel products; and the manufacture of welded stainless steel tubes for the chemical, food, automotive, and solar thermal energy industries.
